Road Racing and motorbikes in common, has been a part of Tatu´s life since he was a little boy. Tatu got used to the paddock life when he was travelling to the races with his father Jukka Lauslehto who did sidecar races in different series.

You can find two European champion titles in the Lauslehto-family; Jukka won the title in 1991 to-gether with his passenger Sakari Palojärvi.

Also Tatu´s sister, Heta Lauslehto, has succeeded in Road Racing. She is, for example, the first female Nordic champion in 125-class.

In off-season Tatu works in the family business in TuusMotor company, however, with motorbikes. Tatu participated in his first race in Kemora 1999. He took the silver medal of the Finnish cup in B 125-class.
The next season he was even faster and he got familiar with different tracks also in the Nordic championship series.

Within the five last seasons he has won five different medals, the European champion title in 2004 in the SuperSport 600-class being the highlight of his carrier for now. Tatu had a promising first year in World Supersport 2005, finishing tenth overall in the championship with Klaffi Honda.
